About the Job

We are hiring a CAD/BIM Coordinator to join our Technical BIM team on the Technical team. This position reports to the CAD/BIM Lead.

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Coordinate and support project teams in the preparation of civil design drawings using Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, levels, and cell libraries to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Manage project CAD files, including references, model organization, version control, and saving in house construction data in compliance with company workflows.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to team members regarding Bentley CAD workflows and software functionality.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, compliance, and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize CAD workflows and improve project delivery efficiency.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior CAD technicians in Bentley applications.
  • Support the integration of GIS, survey, and design data within the Bentley environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for project deliverables.
  • Ability to interpret field survey data, coordinate and communicate with field survey crews.
  • Maintain accurate survey and drawing records, documentation and submittals, and ability to follow BIM Management procedures.
  • Interpret and adhere to legislative, project and code requirements and client’s specifications (e.g. Metrolinx BIM Standard).

What We Are Looking For?

  • Post-secondary education in Civil /Geomatics or design field, Architectural or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of CAD design/drafting experience in civil infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (mandatory).
  • Experience in roadway, utilities, grading, or land development projects preferred.
  • Exposure to systems infrastructure within a transit corridor, including communications, traction power, or signaling support infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with common design-to-field coordination workflows, such as redline updates, RFIs, or construction verification sets.
  • Familiarity with Metrolinx Design Standards and Design Manuals is an asset
  • Experience working under phased submission milestones.
  • Knowledge of utility coordination or staging drawings is an asset.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, multi-package delivery environments with changing design inputs.
